Founding member of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Merogun, has joined the race for the Warri South Constituency I seat in Delta State House of Assembly, following pressure from members of the Dr. Merogun Grassroot Movement .
Members of the Dr. Merogun Grassroot Movement, had in the early hours of Friday April 17 in Warri, called on Dr. Merogun to join the Warri South Constituency I contest ahead of the 2027 polls and subsequently endorsed him.
The Director-General of Dr. Merogun Grassroot Movement, Frank Oromieyaghan, said Dr. Merogun is the best person to occupy the seat of the Delta State House of Assembly, Warri South Constituency 1 come 2027.
He appealed to the APC leadership in the State and Warri South Local Government Area, to give Dr. Merogun the opportunity to serve Warri South I Constituents.

Oromieyaghan insisted that Dr. Merogun has the highest qualification for the seat, saying he has been consistent with the people of Warri South Constituency I.
While accepting the call to contest the Warri South Constituency I seat, Dr. Michael Merogun commended his supporters for the massive support and believe, assuring that he will offer quality representation if given the mandate.
Dr. Merogun pledged to sustain his legacy of serving the grassroots, empowering women and men as well as continue supporting the needy in terms of quality education and scholarships.
He urged the APC to consider urban aspirant from Warri South come 2027, saying it's the turn of Warri urban to produce representative for Warri South Constituency I.

Dr. Merogun, assured of using his support platform to work for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 polls.
APC Chieftain, Prince Charles Omadeli, Comrade Ofoyeju Izuagie, Mr. Tunde Okorodudu and Emmanuel Eyantse, threw their weights behind the aspiration of Dr. Merogun.
They expressed optimism that if given the mandate, Dr. Merogun, would domesticate the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu in Warri South Constituency I.
Prominent APC leaders in Warri South Constituency I as well as key members of Arewa Community in the area, backed the aspiration of Dr. Merogun.
