The Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Festus Ani Ashima, has reiterated his administration's commitment to improving workers' welfare, promising continued efficiency service delivery in the local government area.

Our Warri North Correspondent, reports that Hon. Ashima, gave the assurance in a statement released Friday May 1 in commemoration of this year International Workers’ Day

He described civil servants in Warri North Local Government Council, as the engine room of his administration, helping to drive his policies and programmes down the grassroots, “hence their welfare must be taken seriously.”

The Delta Council Chairman, stated:  “As a Council boss, I will continue to support and make recommendations, when necessary, that will better the lives of our workers. The rewards for good service delivery as a worker, must be beneficial and enjoyed here on earth, not after death."
