2027: IGC to support credible Itsekiri for Warri South-West Constituency Seat, backs Diden for Senate

Fast-growing political pressure group, Itsekiri Grassroot Coalition, IGC, has resolved to support credible Itsekiri son or daughter for the Warri South-West State Constituency in 2027 polls, saying an aspirant will soon be adopted.

The group, hinged its decision on the perceived refusal of the Ijaw people in Warri South-West State Constituency, to present an aspirant different from Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly.

National Coordinator of Itsekiri Grassroot Coalition, Prince Collins Oritsetimeyin Edema, made the disclosure Saturday May 9 at KCMA hall in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area, during the inauguration of Warri North Chapter and Ward leaders of Itsekiri Grassroot Coalition, IGC.

Prince Edema, who was represented by Comrade Ben Eyitemi Eburajolo, proclaimed: “Together with our supporters and political family across Nigeria, we are fully mobilized and committed to ensuring the re-election of the incumbent President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in 2027.

“In Delta State, we are equally resolute in supporting the re-election of the Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as continuity remains vital for the progress and development we seek.

“Regarding Delta South Senatorial District, we maintain that the current office holder has not met the expectations of the people. The same concerns apply to the representation in the Warri Federal Constituency, particularly the Member representing Warri South-West State Constituency.

“The occupant of that office has demonstrated conduct unbecoming of the responsibility entrusted to him. It is unacceptable for a seat that belongs to the collective interest of the Itsekiri people to be used in ways that undermine our unity and promote tension through inflammatory and unguarded statements.

“We are proud to unveil and endorse Hon. Evang. Michael Diden (Ejele), an APC aspirant as our preferred candidate for the Delta South Senatorial District.”

Fresh Angle International, can report that the leader of Hon. Michael Diden’s team, Madam Annette Uwale Asagba, thanked the leadership of the IGC and its members for endorsing her principal as their candidate for the Itsekiri nation.

The IGC Warri North Local Government Area Chairman, Gbesimi Christopher Okorodu, commended Prince Edema and members of his executive for their support.

Other members of the newly inaugurated Warri North Local Government Area Coordinators and Executive, include: Weyinmi Jolomi Ebiareneyin; Secretary, Oshouf Okorodudu; Mobilization, Osandatuwa Priscillia; Publicity Secretary and Cole Eyebira, Ward 5 Coordinator.
