Delimitation: Vacate oil, gas facilities immediately, INYC President tells protesting Itsekiris


President of Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, Comr. Appearance Afejuku, has ordered Itsekiri women and youths protesting in critical national oil and gas assets across Warri South-West, Warri South and Warri North Local Government Areas of Delta State, to immediately vacate the facilities.

The Itsekiri youth leader, in a statement released today, Friday June 12, said the directive became imperative, following the order handed down by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo leaders in Warri Federal Constituency, during an emergency meeting convened by the President, Thursday June 11 at Aso Villa, Abuja.

Comr. Afejuku, commended the protesting Itsekiri women and youths for their patriotism and commitment to ensure that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC adhere to the relevant laws, in the delineation of units and wards in Warri Federal Constituency, as ordered by the Supreme Court.

He mentioned Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited Flow Station, Ogidigben, Chevron Tank farm, Ode-Ugborodo, Otumara Flow-Station and Makaraba Flow Station in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Continental Oil and Gas Limited, OML 150 Obodo Flow Station and Nigerian Gas Company Limited facility, Ubeji in Warri South Local Government Area,  Olero and  Dibi Fields operated by Chevron Nigeria Limited and Gbetiokun Field, operated by NPDC/ Elcrest in Warri North Local Government Area, as the critical assets, which the protesting Itsekiris need to immediately vacate.
