Olisa reaffirms Commitment to sustainable Development in Ndokwa as he engages Aboh CDC


The Member representing the Ndokwa ethnic nationality on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Dr. Charles Olisa, KSM, JP, Thursday 2nd July, 2026 reaffirmed the Commission's commitment to expanding infrastructural development and social intervention programmes across communities in the Ndokwa ethnic nationality.

 

He gave the assurance during a strategic engagement with the leadership of the Aboh Community Development Committee (CDC), led by its Chairman, Hon. Pastor Louis Ogene at Aboh, Ndokwa East Local Government Area.

 

During the engagement, the CDC leadership expressed appreciation to DESOPADEC and the Delta State Government for their sustained developmental interventions in Aboh Kingdom and across the Ndokwa ethnic nationality.

 

The Committee particularly commended the Commission for the successful delivery and recent commissioning of the ultramodern Police Station in Aboh, describing the project as a significant milestone that has strengthened security, enhanced public confidence and contributed to the overall well-being of the community.

 

While acknowledging the Commission's achievements, the CDC appealed for the expansion of infrastructural and social development projects to address the growing needs of Aboh Kingdom and improve the quality of life of the residents.

 

Responding, Dr. Olisa appreciated the delegation for the courtesy visit and commended the Aboh CDC for its continued partnership in promoting community development, assuring the community of DESOPADEC's unwavering commitment to sustained collaboration in advancing peace, security and inclusive development across Aboh Kingdom and the entire Ndokwa region.

 

The Commissioner reiterated that the Governing Board of DESOPADEC under the leadership of the Chairman, Olorogun Barr. John Nani and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Chief Festus Ochonogor, remains committed to initiating and delivering impactful, people-oriented projects that respond to the developmental aspirations of the Commission's mandate areas. 

 

According to Dr. Olisa, the Commission's interventions are firmly aligned with the MORE Agenda of the Delta State Government, championed by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, which prioritizes meaningful development, expanded opportunities, realistic reforms and enhanced peace and security for the people of the State.

 

The meeting was attended by the Executive members of the Aboh CDC, comprising the Vice Chairman, Hon. Olise Imegwu; Public Relations Officer, Hon. Chris Ugbomah; Comrade Austin Ogene; Chief Chukwuka Obi and the Treasurer, Chief Augustine Ugbome.
