DESOPADEC Happy To Partner CIPM - Ochonogor


The Managing Director/CEO, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief Festus Ochonogor, says the Commission is happy to partner the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, CIPM.

 

He affirmed this in his goodwill message, Tuesday July 7, at the CIPM 2026 public lecture in Warri, Delta State.

 

The Managing Director who was ably represented by the Executive Director Projects, DESOPADEC, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, commended the Institute members and leadership for their productive engagement in personnel management spread across the spectrum of civil and public service, including DESOPADEC.

 

Congratulating the Delta State Branch Chairman, Mrs. Tega Lynn Olowohunmwa ( MCIPM) and the Chairman of Warri Chapter, Princess . Precious Akparobi for the successful hosting of the annual public lecture in the oil City of Warri, he noted that the leadership of the Commission is happy to partner with the CIPM as a credible and result oriented professional body.

 

While thanking the Exco members of the body for the recognition extended to him in appreciation for his contribution to their activities in Warri and the State in general, he acknowledged that such gestures shall not go unnoticed.

 

Earlier, the Delta State Branch Chairman Mrs. Tega Lynn Olowohunmwa (MCIPM) had welcomed members of the Institute and guests of honor to the 2026 Public Lecture with the theme, "Measuring Value and Impact in Today's HR Professional Landscape: Moving From Talk To Action," and urged participants and Members of CIPM to be Ambassadors of the Institute as members are highly valued in the implementation of administrative services in both the civil and public service of the country.

 

Speaking further, she commended the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his magnanimity, workers friendly and welfare posture as noted in his recent approval of 13th Month salary payment to workers in the State.

 

" Such a laudable welfare approval is a motivation that shall go a long way in the lives of the workforce," she said.

 

Appreciating the contributions of various establishments, including DESOPADEC for believing in the leadership of the CIPM, Delta State Branch, she affirmed that the Exco Members shall continue to maintain high standards of professionalism in uplifting the Delta State Branch.

 

In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of Warri Chapter, Princess . Precious Akparobi, Director of Administration and Supplies, DAS, DESOPADEC, thanked the leadership of the Delta State Branch, especially the Chairman, Mrs. Tega Lynn Olowohunmwa MCIPM for impactful leadership, and members for the support given to the Warri Chapter for the successful hosting. 

 

She also commended the Managing Director, DESOPADEC, Chief Festus Ochonogor, for his unwavering support for the Warri Chapter.

 

Speaking further, she thanked the members of the organizing committee of the 2026 public lecture for their resilience and professionalism in making the event a successful one.

 

The 2026 public lecture was well attended by members and various guests of honor including the guests speaker, Dr. Mike Ogu; Dr. Barry Gbe FCIPM, Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor of Delta State; Chairman of the occasion, Malam Ahmed Ladam Gobir FCIPM; Chairman of the Council who was represented by Mr. Osahon Omole MCIPM; Discussants including, Dr. Ighoro Alexander MCIPM; Mr. Wale Akinsipe, MCIPM; Mr. Anthony Omeanikun, MCIPM, HOD PRS, DESOPADEC; Mrs. Irene Edemirukewa, MCIPM; Mr. Claxton HOD, DESOPADEC Secretariat; Mr. Daddy Aroghene HOD, Internal Audit amongst others.
