The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, has bagged the Integrity Seal Award at the Lawyers in Energy International Conference ,LEICA, 2026 for its role in promoting transparency, accountability and regulatory standards in Nigeria's upstream petroleum industry.
The award was presented to the Commission Monday, 13th July, during the Awards and Dinner Night at the ongoing LEICA 2026, held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lagos State.
The theme of the 3-day conference was Net Zero, Energy Law and Regulatory Reforms: Managing Risk and Unlocking Opportunity in a Carbon-Constrained Energy Market.
The organisers said the award was "In recognition of your steadfast commitment to transparency, accountability, and regulatory excellence in the Nigerian upstream petroleum sector.”
In a goodwill message, the Commission Secretary and Legal Adviser, Ms. Olayemi Adeboyejo, who was represented by the Head of Commercial and Legal Services, NUPRC, Mr. Moses Pila, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy development through robust regulatory frameworks and industry initiatives.
The Legal Adviser noted that the country's transition to sustainable energy has moved beyond policy discussions to concrete, measurable actions aimed at ensuring sustainable resource development and the effective management of the environment.
