Okorodudu hosts Safe  Delta Movement, canvasses more support for Oborevwori


The Executive Director, Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, has urged all political support groups not to relent until Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is re-elected as Governor of Delta State for a second tenure, come 2027 general elections.

 

He gave the charge Tuesday July 14, while addressing the members of the political support group, Safe Delta Movement, Ughelli South Chapter who were on a courtesy visit to his office at DESOPADEC Headquarters in Warri.

 

The Executive Director who said he had no ambition to contest for any political position but only to support the re-election of the Governor of Delta State, his Boss, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his second tenure in office, commended the group for standing up to support the Governor in his quest to be re- elected into office to continue his developmental agenda across the nooks and crannies of Delta State.

 

"Your support for me is for Sheriff Oborevwori because I have no political ambition but to work for his re-election for a second tenure in office" he said.

 

Speaking further, while analyzing the Governor's achievements in the past three (3)years, he said that the unprecedented infrastructural development under the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda was remarkable and the Governor will do more when re-elected in 2027.

 

"The Governor has not borrowed money since he came to office despite the several fly-over bridges, many completed landmark road projects and many other ongoing projects under his watch across Delta State in just a period of three years in office, he added.

 

He further said support for Sheriff Oborevwori for a second tenure is a support for continued development of Delta State, noting that the group support which cuts across all the candidates of the APC, shows genuine love for His Excellency.

 

He prayed to God for a successful tenure for His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and a landslide victory at the polls in the general election in 2027.

 

Earlier, the Coordinator of the Safe Delta Movement, Ughelli South Chapter, Comrade Awhotu Tagan had informed the Executive Director that they came to identify with him in their resolve to campaign, canvas and support him for the Governor's re-election in the 2027 general election, stating that their political support group cuts across the three (3) Senatorial zones of the State.

 

He further stated that the Ughelli Chapter came to show solidarity to him and align with the Executive Director in the task of electing the amiable Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, come 2027.

 

"We are here because of your resilience in the support you give to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in all that you do and to identify with you so that you can support us as we carry out our campaign, canvas and support our Governor" he said.

 

Speaking further, he said that the group is also in touch with the AREWA group for massive support for the Governor in Delta State.

 

Stating that their sole aim is to deliver the Governor in the 2027 general election in Delta State, he said they were not alone but are in touch with the non indigene association of AREWA group and others for a massive support for the Governor. 

 

Meanwhile, in a vote of thanks, the group Women leader, Erakivie Tega Mary thanked the Executive Director for the warm reception accorded them and commended him for the good work he is doing in the Commission, noting that they will not disappoint him in their total commitment to deliver the Governor in 2027.

Tony Okuwe, E.A to EDP; QS. Williams Oyimi, HOD Housing amongst others.
