Igbenije inspects ongoing DESOPADEC Zonal Office Project in Agbor


Barely days after being sworn in as the Member representing Ika nation on the Governing Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon. Cosmas Igbenije has reaffirmed his commitment to quality infrastructure and effective service delivery with an inspection visit to the ongoing DESOPADEC Zonal Office project in Agbor.

 

During the inspection on Friday July 24, 2026, Hon. Igbenije assessed the level of work at the project site and expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far while emphasizing the need for strict adherence to approved specifications, quality standards, and timely completion of the project.

 

The newly sworn-in Board Member noted that the Agbor Zonal Office upon completion, would enhance DESOPADEC's operational efficiency and bring the Commission's services closer to the people of Ika nation and other benefitting communities within the zone.

 

Reiterating the commitment of the DESOPADEC Governing Board, under the leadership of the Chairman, Olorogun John Nani and MD/CEO, Chief Festus Ochonogor to ensuring that developmental projects are executed efficiently and delivered to the people in line with the MORE Agenda of the Delta State Government, Hon. Igbenije assured stakeholders that he would continue to provide effective representation for Ika nation by monitoring ongoing projects and facilitating initiatives that would improve the socio-economic wellbeing of the people.

 

The inspection tour comes just days after Hon. Igbenije was sworn in as the Member representing Ika nation on the DESOPADEC Governing Board, following his appointment by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
