The Executive Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Hon. Onoriode Joshua Oborevwori, has donated four Toyota Sienna buses to two political support groups in Delta State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The donation comprises two buses for the Soft Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, and two buses for the Cityboys Movement, Delta State Chapter.
The vehicles were received by Comrade Oghenetega Sylvester Anigborigho, popularly known as Tompolo, on behalf of Soft Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, while Hon. Chief Karo Goru received the vehicles on behalf of the Cityboys Movement, Delta State Chapter.
Speaking during the presentation, Oborevwori said the donation was intended to strengthen grassroots mobilisation in support of the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Delta State Governor Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori in the 2027 general elections.
He said the gesture was informed by what he described as the socio-economic progress recorded under the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Delta State Government’s M.O.R.E. Agenda.
According to him, the support groups are expected to utilise the vehicles in carrying out mobilisation and stakeholder engagement activities across the state in preparation for the 2027 elections.
While receiving the vehicles on behalf of Soft Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, Comrade Oghenetega Sylvester Anigborigho, popularly known as Tompolo, and Hon. Chief Karo Goru expressed appreciation to Hon. Onoriode Joshua Oborevwori for the donations.
They described the gesture as a demonstration of the chairman’s commitment to strengthening grassroots political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The duo assured that the vehicles would be deployed responsibly to support the activities of the organisation across Delta State in line with its objectives and also reaffirmed the group’s commitment to mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governor Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori.
