APC: Okowa Calls for Reconciliation as Delta North Stakeholders Meet Ahead 2027 Polls

Former Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has urged leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the state level down to the wards and units not to sideline critics or any member of the party, stating that every individual matters as politicking ahead of the 2027 general elections gains traction.

Okowa stated this while addressing an enlarged gathering of Delta North Senatorial District APC leaders, stakeholders, and party loyalists on Friday. He repeatedly urged leaders not to marginalize those who criticize, maintaining that leadership is ultimately about people.

"Our greatest responsibility is to listen, to include, and to remain connected to those we have been called to serve. Every community matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and every stakeholder has a role to play in building a stronger and more united Delta North.

"As we move forward, may we continue to lead with humility, strengthen our bonds of unity, and place the interests of our people above all else", the former governor said.

Senator Okowa also called for reconciliation, advising that apologies should be extended to those who may have been offended in the course of politics, adding that "we should extend forgiveness for the sake of unity and progress."
