The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, has assured that the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, would commence immediate rehabilitation of 15-kilometer section of the Sapele-Benin Corridor.

The NDDC Boss, gave the assurance Tuesday August 25 shortly after joining the Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo and other key stakeholders in Benin City, for a comprehensive assessment of the affected sections of the Benin–Agbor and Sapele–Benin roads.

Dr. Ogbuku, who acknowledged the inconsistencies in the execution of the concessioned project, which have subjected commuters, businesses and residents along the affected corridors to significant hardship, said the intervention reflects commitment of the NDDC to complement the Federal Government’s efforts to restore critical infrastructure and ease the burden on communities and road users across the Niger Delta.
