Ugbajo Itsekiri United Kingdom, a diaspora organisation committed to the development and wellbeing of the Itsekiri people, has donated essential medications to the Big Warri (Ode-Itsekiri) Health Centre in Warri South Local Government Area, to further commemorate the 5 years Coronation Anniversary of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR.
The donation, which held Saturday, August 22, was part of the organisation’s ongoing efforts to support healthcare delivery and improve access to essential medical services in Itsekiri communities.
Speaking on the behalf of the President of Ugbajo Itsekiri United Kingdom, Mr. Mejebi Eyewuoma, the Immediate Past President of the diaspora group, Prince Julius Temisanren, reiterated the organization’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to the welfare and development of Itsekiri communities.
The donated medications were received on behalf of the health centre by the Matron in charge, Mrs. Gift Fregene-Timeyin, who expressed appreciation to the organisation for the gesture.
The donation is expected to complement the efforts of healthcare workers at the facility and provide much-needed support to residents who depend on the health centre for basic medical care.
Ugbajo Itsekiri UK has, over the years, maintained a strong focus on community-oriented initiatives, including free medical outreaches, provision of medications and other healthcare interventions across Itsekiri communities.
