The Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu on Saturday 29th August, 2026 bagged the Rotary Service Award during the installation ceremony of Rotarian Michael Emeshili as the 18th President of the Rotary Club of Asaba GRA at Afroview Hotel and Apartments, Asaba, Delta State.
Responding, Dr. Okorodudu expressed appreciation to the Rotary Club of Asaba GRA, describing the award as an encouragement to continue supporting initiatives that promote human development, community empowerment and service to humanity.
He also congratulated Rotarian Michael Emeshili on his installation and wished him a successful tenure.
Presenting the award in recognition of his contributions to community development and service to humanity, Rotarian Andy Uwejeyan commended Dr. Okorodudu for his commitment to public service and humanitarian causes, noting that the recognition was in appreciation of individuals who have distinguished themselves through selfless service and meaningful contributions to society.
The colourful ceremony was attended by Rotarians, dignitaries, family members, friends and other well wishers who gathered to celebrate the new leadership of the club.
In a similar development, Dr. Okorodudu was on Sunday, August 30, 2026, honoured with an Award of Excellence by St. Peter Christ Army Church, Agbor during the church’s annual harvest thanksgiving service held at St. Peter Christ Army Church, Agbor, Delta State.
The award which was presented by the Church’s General Overseer, Bishop Dr Promise Isaiah Dibie JP, and Rev. Mrs Promise Isaiah Dibie was in recognition of Dr. Okorodudu’s outstanding contributions to humanity, dedication to public service and commitment to sustainable projects aimed at improving the lives of people in DESOPADEC mandate areas.
Responding to the honour, Dr. Okorodudu expressed gratitude to Bishop Dr. Promise Isaiah Dibie JP; Rev. Mrs. Promise Isaiah Dibie and the entire congregation of St. Peter Christ Army Church for finding him worthy of the prestigious recognition and dedicated the Award of Excellence to God, reaffirming his resolve to remain committed to impactful service, sustainable development and the advancement of the people of Delta State through his responsibilities as Executive Director of Projects on the Board of DESOPADEC.
Earlier in his address, Bishop Dibie had described Dr. Okorodudu as a worthy son of Delta State whose leadership at DESOPADEC has brought tangible development to oil-producing communities and praised the DESOPADEC EDP for his consistent support for the church, the less privileged and initiatives that uplift humanity across the State.
Rev. Mrs. Dibie also commended Dr. Okorodudu for his humility, accessibility and passion for service, noting that his works have continued to inspire both young and old within and outside Delta State.
