The Member representing Itsekiri ethnic nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Toghanrose Ofe has praised the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for his wonderful initiative towards ensuring that his Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda programme is reaching out to the people of Delta State in all areas of human life.
He made this remark in Koko on the 25th of September, 2026 during the second phase of the free Medical Outreach which first took place in Obodo from the 18th to 20th of September, 2026.
Hon. Ofe said the Free Medical outreach is a way of complimenting the broad based Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda developmental philosophy of the State Governor, while acknowledging that with the capabilities of the Medical Practitioners on ground, coupled with available medical facilities and medications for varieties of ailments, they were well equipped and ready to provide the needed medical attention to all the out- patients who came for the free medical treatment from all the nearby communities adjoining Koko.
As part of the Medical Outreach, there was an elaborate talk on Dental Health by Dr. Lawson Oshaka, a Dental Surgeon and Kate Otite, a Dental Therapist. Their talk was anchored on the issues that have to do with dental health and what needs to be done to prevent tooth ache, mouth odour and the general teeth health and the mouth.
Some of the out- patients who interacted with DESOPADEC Media were full of appreciation to the State Government, the Board and Management of DESOPADEC and Hon. Ofe for deeming it fit to bring such laudable free medical initiative to the Koko community.
The Free Medical Treatment will be concluded tomorrow, Saturday 26th of September, 2026.
Personalities who were on ground to witness the beginning of the Outreach included Dr. Ikomi Emmanuel who represented Hon. Joe Martins, Member representing Warri North in the Delta State House of Assembly; Dr.Chris Eburajolo, ably represented by Jolomi Esiateginwa; Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. John Ashima, ably represented by Comrade Philip Diabo and a host of other personalities.
