Nigeria at 66: FGBMFI Urges Citizens to Renew Commitment to Nation Building

As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International–Nigeria (FGBMFI) has congratulated Nigerians, urging citizens to move beyond celebration and work towards building a nation founded on righteousness, unity and shared values.

The fellowship also called on Nigerians to pursue a vision of true nationhood that reflects the ideals of unity, responsibility, integrity and national development.

In a message contained in the fellowship’s Independence Day publicity material, the National President of FGBMFI Nigeria, Isaac Okpanachi, alongside the Board of Trustees, National Executive Council, National Board of Directors and the entire membership, urged Nigerians to remain committed to the progress and development of the country.

The fellowship encouraged citizens to use the occasion of the 66th Independence Anniversary to reflect on Nigeria’s journey so far and renew their commitment to building a stronger and more united nation.

According to the organisation, the anniversary provides an opportunity for Nigerians to look beyond the festivities and consider their collective responsibility in shaping the country’s future.

The fellowship said its call was also in line with the vision of its forthcoming 2026 National Convention, scheduled to hold in Lagos from November 11 to 14.

It said the convention’s theme was inspired by the need for Nigerians to “press toward the mark” of a better and united nation while seeking God’s guidance in the affairs of the country.

The convention is expected to bring together members of the fellowship from across Nigeria for spiritual, leadership and fellowship activities.

FGBMFI expressed optimism that through collective effort, faith and a renewed sense of responsibility, Nigerians can contribute to building a stronger nation that reflects the aspirations and ideals of true nationhood.
