Warri South Local Government Council, under the leadership of Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, has further trickled-down the benefits of removal of fuel subsidy by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, with the commencement of Councilors - Ward Empowerment Programme/commissioning of constituency projects.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, who spoke Friday October 2 at Otor-Orere, Pessu and Ubeji Wards, during flag off of the empowerment/project commissioning, disclosed that in the 20 Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC wards that make up Warri South Local Government Area, about 200 persons in each ward, will get fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00) to boost their micro businesses and ultimately improve their livelihoods.

The Warri South Local Government Boss, who noted that the programme was consequent upon a directive by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, said the implementation became possible as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy, which has increased the monthly federal allocations to the sub national governments.

Whilst recalling several human capital development initiatives of his administration under the Sheriff Cares Programme, Comr. Agbateyiniro, stated that his administration made funds available to councilors to execute constituency projects in all the 20 DSIEC wards.
