Odeli blasts Okowa over ‘zero government presence’ in Warri North
Comrade David Odeli

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Secretary-General of Tisun Management Council, TMC in Warri North Local Government Area, Comrade David Odeli has blasted Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, saying “he should be ashamed of himself that for the past two years of his administration, there has been no single star project in the whole of Warri North Local Government Area”.

Comrade Odeli’s flak is coming barely 24 hours to Governor Okowa’s scheduled visit to Warri North Local Government Area on Friday December 15 to flag off PDP campaign for the forthcoming January 6, 2018 Local Government poll.

The APC Chieftain in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle International Thursday December 14 in Warri, noted that despite the huge crude oil and gas resources derived from Warri North Local Government, the only source of transportation in the area remains the “ancient and slow means of outdated ferry boats”.

He listed abandoned Delta State Government projects in Warri North such as the Ogheye Floating Market, Koko Township Stadium, Tisun-Kolokolo Road as well as electrification and the Ebrohimi-Obaghoro link Road, which has been in the State Government budget since 2015, as some of the star projects Governor Okowa should as a matter of urgency address so as to prove that his administration has no hate against Itsekiri people.

While stressing that the only semblance of government presence in Warri North is the Nigeria Army, “which has kept the peace in the area in perfect arrangement”, Comrade Odeli asked Itsekiris in Okowa administration to “hide their face in shame over the abysmal failure recorded in the past two years”.
