The Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson has charged Traditional rulers, Chiefs and Elders of Ijaw nationality to sustain and preach peace and stability as well as unity to their subjects to attract progress to the Niger Delta region. 
He called on them to ensure openness and fair deliberations on the issues affecting the Ijaw National Congress, INC and proffer possible solutions on the lingering issues raised to attain desire outcome. 
Governor Dickson stressed the need for Ijaw nation to be united and possess a place for solid, knowledgeable, fearless and dependable leadership to manage the affairs of INC, advising all aggrieved parties to put their differences behind and suggest a way forward for the best interest of the Congress.
He gave the charge when Ijaw traditional rulers, Chiefs and Elders of Izon land from Delta, Lagos,  Rivers, Edo, Ondo and Akwa-Ibom conversed in the Jerusalem of Ijaw nation , Bayelsa State, on a conference organized by the Council Chairman and former Military Governor of old Rivers State, HRH Alfred Papapreye Diete-Spiff.
Our Bayelsa State Correspondent reports that Governor Dickson affirmed that the conference was strictly an affair for INC members, traditional rulers, Chiefs and Elders of Ijaw nationality, adding, he was at the conference as the host governor to encourage and bring to the council goodwill messages from Elder Statesman and former Minister of Information, Dr. Edwind Clark and the former President of Nigeria, Dr.  Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The Countryman Governor who was a one-time Legal Adviser to the Congress, said the essence of the conference is to interact and suggest possible mechanisms to resolve issues that are affecting the Congress in order to reposition it, while appreciating the Council Chairman and Paramount Ruler of Twon-Brass,  Alfred Papapreye Diete-Spiff for his resilience and steadfastness and accepting to lead the high-powered reconciliation committee in resolving the lingering crisis that rocked the congress and others who offer advices in the management of the
