The Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli has today March 31 dissolved the Olu-In-Council, an advisory body which he had set up early in 2016.
The Council was made up of selected Senior Chiefs in the kingdom, some of the Princes and some noble men who had distinguished themselves in society.
His Majesty thanked all members who had served the kingdom through the council in the last two years, and noted that their contribution had helped him in no small measure, in dealing with kingdom matters, especially in some of the very challenging issues he has had to deal with in recent times.
He disclosed that he will soon reconstitute membership of the council, and that he would identify and bring in Itsekiri people who have the commitment, dedication and that are fired up to selflessly serve the people, and loyal to the crown.
The Olu said that it was critical to reposition Itsekiri for the years ahead, especially as the Nation heads into another election season.
His majesty then called on the Itsekiri people to hold themselves ready for the task ahead, and appealed that all must work for the unity, progress and development of Warri kingdom.
