The Medical Director of Central Hospital, Warri, Dr. Paul Okubor has revealed that about 250 unidentified corpses at the hospital morgue need to be urgently evacuated.
Dr. Okubor made the disclosure Thursday April 12 when he led three other principal officers of Central Hospital, Warri on a courtesy visit to the chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi.
The hospital MD who solicited the assistance of the Warri South Council executive in the evacuation of the corpses and subsequent internment, also appealed to the council authority to assist in restoring steady power supply to the hospital via connection to 33 KVA line.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Michael Tidi, assured the hospital management that his administration already raised some of the challenges facing the hospital to the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa during his recent visit to Warri South.
Hon. Tidi while noting that his administration was already exploring the possibility of upgrading the Warri Cemetery to standard, promised that he will continually engage the Delta State Commissioners of Health as well as Power and Energy with a view to tackling the electricity and other challenges being faced by Warri Central Hospital.
