The Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship, NNS Delta, Commodore Ibrahim Dewu has stressed the need for Warri Port to be fully functional, just as he called on authorities of Warri South Local Government Council and other stakeholders to embark on advocacy against illegal bunkering as well as pipeline vandalism.
Commodore Ibrahim Dewu made the assertion Tuesday April 24 when he played host to Warri South Local Government Council Executive led by the Chairman, Hon. Michael Tidi.
While calling on the Warri South Council Chairman, Hon. Tidi to assist the command in intelligence gathering, Commodore Dewu appealed to the Council Boss to assist NNS Delta in waste disposable.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Michael Tidi spoke of his administration’s effort in terms of advocacy against piracy and vandalism of crude oil facilities.
Hon. Tidi noted that the youths need better role models and to also know the inherent dangers of engaging in illegal bunkering.
