Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Michael Tidi has admonished people of Warri South Local Government Area to take advantage of the 05 Initiative Free Health campaign of Wife of Delta State Governor, Dame (Mrs.) Edith Okowa by checking their health status during the flag off of the exercise slated for Thursday July 5 at the Central Hospital, Warri.
Hon. Tidi while describing the Governor's Spouse as an advocate for improved primary health care system, stressed that the programme expected to commence by 8:00 am will feature screening and treatment of malaria,screening for diabetes, screening for hypertension, HIV screening, health talks, free surgery for cataract, eye screening, deworming and other health related engagement programmes targeted at improving the health situation of Deltans.
The Warri South Council Boss enjoined traditional and religious leaders as well as community based organizations to mobilize their members to avail themselves of the opportunity offered by the governor's wife pet project.
