Stop Using Stomach Infrastructure to Deceive Nigerians, It Has Failed Us – YPP National Chairman


The National chairman Young Progressive Party, YPP, Bishop Emmanuel Amakiri has warned politicians seeking for elective position to stop using Stomach infrastructure to campaign saying it has failed the country over the years.

According to him, there is need to develop the intellectual infrastructure of the masses if Nigeria must move forward.

Bishop Amakiri was speaking in Lokoja on Saturday July 21 while inaugurating the Kogi State new executives of the Young Progressive Party, YPP.

The National Chairman noted that the economic hardship in the country is a clear indication that Nigerians should elect leaders who will build on their intellectual capacity in a bid to harness the abundance resources in the country.

"Over the years, our leaders promised us stomach infrastructures, yet we are still hungry. Buying a bag of rice now is no longer a Childs play. Many Nigerians are victim of the hardship melted by the current administration. Before our leaders are elected into various positions, they will promise us heaven and earth.When they are elected, the reverse is the case. Before now, petroleum is less than N100, but now it is something else. Many Nigerians can no longer feed three times daily. It is time for Nigerians especially the youths to say no to all this failed promises and elect a credible young candidate who will build their knowledge for the development of this nation.

When we impact the masses with knowledge, they will use it to build the nation” he noted.

The National Chairman stressed that the party is out to reawaken the democratic structure of the country, saying over the years Nigeria has not been having leadership but rulership.

On the new Excos inaugurated in the State, the National Chairman said the party is already having a structure that will remove bad leadership in Kogi State.

The National Chairman maintained that the Young Progressive Party, YPP is the only party to drive Nigerians youths to greatness.

He however urged party fateful to be united, work harmoniously, mobilize Kogites  to collect their permanent voters cards as the Nation prepares for the 2019 general election.

Amakiri however told his members that YPP will not merge with any political party before or after the 2019 general election in the country pointing out that YPP will produce candidates from counselor to the position of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman Young Progressive Party, YPP,  Kogi State, Hon. Shinga Emmanuel assure the national delegation of his steadfastness to ensure the party wins elective position in the Confluence and State urged the youths to take up the challenges of wiping out corrupt government in the State.

He averred that “we the youths must take up this challenges to wipe out corruption and I don’t care attitude towards those who we voted into the position of authority.

“YPP is the only party whose manifesto is service to humanity and people. We call on all indomitable youths to look unto our country as one entity where love will restore hope and the dreams of our founding fathers”.

The new inaugurated YPP executive in Kogi State are: Hon. Chinga Emmanuel ( State Chairman), Malik Ozovehe ( Deputy Chairman) Olu Adeyanju ( State Secretary), Nazir Yaqub Sadiq ( Treasurer) Shaibu Ramat ( Financial Secretary) and Abdulmameen Zubair ( Publicity Secretary).

Others are: Ayo Alabi ( Auditor) Priscilla Obaje (Women leader) and Bala Usman ( Organizing Secretary).

Officials from the independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC and members from over 30 political parties were on ground to witness the inauguration of the new excos.
