As the 2019 general elections get closer, an aspirant for Delta South Senatorial seat under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Barr. Irone Rita Begho has appealed to leaders and delegates of APC to give a woman chance to emerge as the party candidate.

The APC Senatorial hopeful who is daughter of erstwhile prominent Itsekiri leader, late Chief E.N.A Begho of Warri Kingdom, has 32 years post-call experience as a lawyer as well as expert in Peace Building and Conflict Management.

Rita Begho who spoke during a courtesy call on the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli Tuesday August 28, explained that she came to inform the Monarch of her Senatorial aspiration and seek his fatherly blessing.

According to her, there is no better time to canvas for a female to represent Delta South than now, after more than 18 years of uninterrupted male domination in the senatorial seat.

Fresh Angle International can report that Barr. Begho has worked with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, UNIDO, served as Director, Delta State Development and Property Authority as well as Director, Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

An elated Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli disclosed that Warri Kingdom remained proud of late Chief Begho due to the remarkable legacies he left behind and prayed for Barr. Begho to succeed in her political aspiration.
