Lebanese born Chief Nabil Ahmed Saleh has emerged the new President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, PHCCIMA, Fresh Angle International has gathered.
The new PHCCIMA helmsman takes over from the immediate past, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji.
Chief Saleh who was until his election, the first Deputy President of PHCCIMA, emerged during the 61st Annual General Meeting of the organization held at the Banquet Hall of Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He is the Managing Director of M. Saleh & Company Limited (an energy/agricultural company dealing in the sales and servicing of high-quality generators, transformers, tractors, concrete mixers, waste bins, and other heavy-duty equipment.)
Saleh is also the Chief Executive Officer of Golden Sands Systems and Materials Limited, a limited liability company based in Port Harcourt and duly licensed by the Nigerian Communication Commission to engage in the installation of terminal or other telecommunication equipment (including the sale of recharge cards, data provision, etc) and currently a Super-Agent for Ntel Golden sands.
Originally born in Saida, Lebanon, Chief Nabil Saleh is currently a naturalized Nigerian Citizen, his contribution to both the economic and socio-cultural development of the society cannot be overemphasized, which justifies the various Chieftaincy titles conferred on him by different ethnic groups in Nigeria.
Chief Nabil Ahmed Saleh holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from the Beirut Arab University and speaks 3 languages (Arabic, English and basic French), He is also the Second Vice Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (Rivers/Bayelsa States Branch),

In his remark, the outgoing President, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji said at the inception of his administration in 2015, they set out a six-point agenda to achieve including to rebrand PHCCIMA, attract more members, advocate for businesses promote best practices among members and be a knowledge center for the promotion of business research and information.
“Today, we are glad to say we were able to achieve all these as team with an exco that was dedicated to the advancement of the chamber. We were able to build relationship with the likes of Total, NEPC, NIPC, Notore, Indorama, RIRS, PHED and a whole lot of others stretching our visibility with the weekly newsletter and Commerce PH Magazine that was instrumental to placing us as member of the Presidential Quarterly meeting in Aso rock. Today by the grace of God, the Rivers state government this year gave PHCCIMA, our chamber, the first landed property in its 61 years of existence – a five-hectare Trade Fair ground along the new Airport Road and this has been surveyed and ready to use”
He said while the achievements have been made it was not easy resulting from the recession, turbulence among others.
He told the incoming President that he will see turbulence, but he should not be deterred but be focused to achieve set objectives, saying as the outgoing they have done their bit and wish the incoming executives the very best as they fly the flag of the chamber even higher.
In his remark, the incoming President, Chief Nabil Saleh appreciated all who participated in the election, adding that all are winners irrespective of the outcome of the election. He humbly appealed for total cooperation in the chamber to help the chamber achieve all her set objectives and goals.
He said to those elected into different offices, I expect nothing but the best as always and accountability to justify the votes cast in their favour. He said it is a new phase for the incoming administration and in unity and transparency, they can achieve whatever they set to do.
He commended the outgoing administration and assured that they will build on the milestones set by the outgoing administration with new dynamism and verve.
In his remark, the NACCIMA President, Iyalode Alaba Lawson represented by Mr. Simon Asite commended the peaceful conduct of the election and the cordial relationships that exist within. He also commended the outgoing administration led by Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji for the various achievements and milestone including the ability to get an allocation of a permanent Trade fair ground for the chamber. He said the Iyalode Alaba Lawson administration endorses democratic processes, hence their presence here to support this peaceful transition.
For the incoming administration, he urged them to sustain the momentum and build on the success of the last administration, entrench peace, unity, equity justice, and fair play in all their dealings, adding also that they explore areas that will help build member businesses.
