A Chief in Ogbe-Ijoh,Warri South -West Local Government Area, Monday Keme has insisted that he remains Social Democratic Party, SDP Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency in the 2019 polls, saying the only possibility of substitution according to the Electoral Act,is when a candidate willingly withdraw his candidacy, adding that he is unwilling to relinquish his ticket to anyone.
Chief Monday Keme who made the declaration Friday December 8 in an exclusive telephone chat with Our Senior Correspondent, accused the incumbent member representing Warri Federal Constituency on the platform of PDP,Hon. Daniel Reyenieju of trying to cause detraction among SDP members in Delta State and allegedly lobbying to substitute his name as SDP Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency ahead of the 2019 elections.
According to him, it was his name that INEC published recently as SDP Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency after successfully emerging victorious in the party primary.
The stance of Chief Keme despite posters already bearing Hon. Daniel Reyenieju as SDP Candidate, indicates that the dust may not have been settled for the incumbent federal lawmaker to contest the 2019 poll, after emerging fourth at PDP House of Representatives primary held in Warri sometime in October.
