PDP top echelons assemble in Abraka as Arenyaka gives grandma, mother farewell rites

The socio- cultural and political atmosphere in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, crescendo Sunday December 30, when top echelons of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state assembled at 351 Old Abraka –Agbor Road, Abraka for the 24years remembrance/ final burial rites of Mrs. Ekwaju Joe and Mrs. Mene Arenyeka, grandmother and mother respectively of Delta State PDP Deputy Chairman, Barr. Ada- Val Arenyeka.

While the final burial rites according to Itsekiri tradition of Mrs. Mene Arenyeka, who died December 25, 2000 was held between 10:00am and 8:00pm, Mrs. Ekwaju Joe’s remembrance and final burial rites according to Urhobo tradition began 9pm and ran till dawn.

Fresh Angle International can report that the array of eminent PDP Chieftains that graced the grandeur event included Delta State PDP Chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso, Chairman of Central Working Committee of PDP Campaign Council for Delta South, Chief (Dr.) Roland Oritsejafor, Chief Joseph Otumara, Delta State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Vincent Uduaghan and Chief Solomon Arenyeka.
