The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi says strategies have been put in place to clampdown on hoodlums harassing pupils, students and teachers in public primary and secondary schools in Warri South Local Government.
Dr. Tidi in a statement released Thursday March 21 through Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, stressed that the warning became necessary following reports that pupils and teachers of Aileru Primary School, Warri, are being harassed and chased away from the school by suspected gangsters, who also reportedly vandalize the school properties and make the school environment their hideout.
The statement emphasized that security agents have been placed on red alert with a view to apprehending the criminal elements and ensure that they face the full weight of the law.
