The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS says corruption has mortgaged the future of over 40.1m students in Nigeria, urging President Muhammadu Buhari to sustain his anti-graft battle in order to enthrone sustainable development in the country.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that NANS’ position is contained in a communique released at the end of its National Conference held in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to NANS, the future of Students in Nigeria cannot be guaranteed without curbing corruption.
The communique which was signed by the Chief Convener of the National Conference/Chairman of NANS, Comrade Abdulhamid Mumin, Secretary, Muniru Ajibodi and National Treasurer, Comrade Noah Agada, enjoined management of tertiary Institutions in the country not to see unionism as a gathering to witch-hunt, but a forum where administrative policy can be established on campus via students.
As part of the communique, the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS posited that the only reliable solution to resolve increasing unemployment among graduates in the country is not to pay lip service to entrepreneurship.
