The member representing Warri South Constituency 2 in Delta State House of Assembly and foremost Urhobo Political leader in Warri, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, says Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s appointment of Chief Joseph Otumara as pioneer Chairman of the newly established Warri, Uvwie and its environs Development Agency, WUDA, “is most apt, because of the wealth of experience Chief Otumara possesses as a grassroots developer and astute administrator”.
The Delta lawmaker in a telephone chat with Fresh Angle International, Friday July 19, stated that as three-time chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, former Commissioner and founding PDP leader, Chief Otumara has the pedigree to provide the necessary leadership, that would lead to a comprehensive development of the twin cities of Warri and Effurun, in sync with the state government’s urban renewal policy.
Hon. Opuoru also congratulated immediate past Executive Secretary of Local Education Authority, LEA, Warri South, Hon. Griftson Omatsuli, on his appointment as commissioner-nominee in the incoming Board of DESOPADEC.
While expressing optimism that Hon. Omatsuli, will attract the much needed infrastructural development to the oil bearing coastal communities, Hon. Opuoru congratulated Mrs. Gbubemi Ikolo, on her appointment as commissioner-nominee. HH
