The Chief Imam of Igboholand, Sheikh Mudashiru Awaal Oloola of Oyo State in Oorelope Local Government Area has lauded the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde, for spreading dividends of democracy within his first 100days in office.
The commendation was made Friday September 20, 2019 after the Jumat service.
According to him, "Seyi Makinde is God sent and has been able to steer the ship of the State by spreading dividend of democracy across the State.I have seen and heard about the good works the governor is doing and he has been laying good legacy for those coming behind.
He does not marginalized any zone in the State and has been able to carry everyone along in the scheme of things as far as Oyo State politics is concerned. Recently, he gave all the students in both primary and secondary schools textbooks and exercise books, he also commissioned some model schools in Oke-Ogun and its environs. Workers are not left out as he pays their salaries on or before 25th of every month. He has not discriminated against any religion since he came to power. He has been able to balance the equation, appointing both Muslim and Christian into his cabinet. This is the kind of leader we have been craving for in Oyo State and God has given us the leader in Seyi Makinde".
Our Oyo State Correspondent reports that recently the League of Imams in Oke-Ogun paid a courtesy visit to the governor in his office to pray and encourage him to continue with the good work he has started.
Sheikh Oloola commends the governor's Deputy, Engineer Remi Olaniyan, for joining hands with the governor in spreading dividend of democracy.
He urged the Federal Government to take proactive measures in tackling insecurity in the country.
