The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has described the Supreme Court verdict of today, Wednesday October 30, which dismissed PDP and Atiku’s appeal, challenging the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari as a “crushing halt”, to, “all the lies and deceit”, that followed the Presidential election held earlier this year.
He tweeted: “Congratulations Nigeria! All the lies and deceit have come to a crushing halt. About 7 months ago, I said the substance of the Petition was the most useless I have ever seen. Now, we have been vindicated. Henceforth, the opposition need to raise its game and be more constructive”.
Fresh Angle International can report that a seven-man panel of The Supreme Court, had dismissed PDP and Atiku’s appeal, for lacking in merit, with a promise to explain the reasons for the dismissal at a later date.
The panel which was headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, had Bode Rhodes-Vivour, Amiru Sanusi, Uwani Abaji, Ejembi Eko, John Inyang Okoro and Olukayode Ariwoola as members
While the Supreme Court hearing was on-going, President Muhammadu Buhari, was in a meeting with King Salman of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative, FII, Conference holding in Saudi Arabia.
