The Hon. Minister for Transport, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has revealed that a Wagon Assembly Plant, is about to be established in Kajola, Ogun State, along the Lagos-Ibadan Railway Corridor.
He explained that the factory is part of the Federal Government’s resolve, “to bring home rail technology and have our own people produce, develop and maintain rail transport equipment and facilities”.
While noting that the Federal Government have been able to, “convinced our Chinese partners to establish a Wagon Assembly Plant here in Nigeria”, Hon. Amaechi disclosed that Vice President Yemi Osibanjo will perform the ground-breaking ceremony of the Plant scheduled for November 8.
