A Christian cleric, Rev (Dr.) D.O. Madoghwe says it is now difficult to believe some people who claim to be men of God “due to atrocities they carry out”.
According to him, the American Embassy carries out serious scrutiny of men of God from Nigeria because some of them traffic cocaine and other illicit drugs in the name of men of God to the United States.
Rev. Madoghwe admonished Christians to always test the spirit of anyone who claim to be man of God to know the genuine ones, because according to him real men of God are few.
He enjoined Christians to give offerings from their hearts and not allow themselves to be cajoled, stressing that those who have faith in God should have joy while giving to the Lord instead of grudges. The cleric who is more than 25 years in the ministry gave the charge in a sermon titled “honouring God through his servant” during pastors shower Sundays at Avenue Baptist Church in Warri, Delta State.
The man of God took his text from the book of Hebrews chapter 5 from verses four through ten and 2nd Corinthians 9-11.
According to him, honouring God through his servant brings heavenly blessings to any believer who obeys.
