Delta shares its northern and western boundaries with Edo State; its eastern boundary with Anambra and Rivers States; and its south-eastern boundary with Bayelsa State.
Delta state is an oil and agricultural producing state in Nigeria, and is low-lying without remarkable hills. It is situated in the region known as the South-South geo-political zone, and has 25 Local Government Areas.
The capital city of Delta State is Asaba. This is located at the northern end of Delta, and covers approximately 762 square kilometres — while Warri, the economic nerve centre of the state and the most populated area, is located at the southern end of the state.
