Mayuku, NAIS partner on fresh scholarships for indigent students

The Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Daniel Omayone Mayuku in partnership with the leadership of National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS have given out fresh scholarships to 50 indigent students of tertiary institutions from Warri South- West local government area.

The lawmaker while presenting the scholarships to the students today at Ugbuwangue, Warri, averred that he decided to give out the scholarships to encourage the students to continually put in their best in their academic pursuit.

Hon. Mayuku who was represented by Mr. Jerry Onesan,enjoined the students to take their studies more seriously, promising that the scholarship scheme will be a continuous one.
Speaking shortly after the presentation, the new National President of NAIS, Comrade Precious  Otikpere thanked Hon. Mayuku for assisting the students of his constituency, Warri South-West local government area.

Comrade Otikpere admonished Itsekiri students to collect their Permanent Voter Card, PVC to enable them cast their vote for the right candidates in the forthcoming elections so as to attract more dividends of democracy.

The scholarship awardees who received cash thanked Hon. Mayuku for identifying with them.
Our Senior Correspondent reports that the beneficiaries include Yaluwu Peter, Abiye Fregene, Elijah and Onogho Gbubemi.
