Keyamo attacked over comment that Buhari has no reason to silence bad losers
Festus Keyamo, SAN

Some Nigerians on twitter this morning, Monday January 13, attacked the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, SAN, over his comment that President Muhammadu Buhari, “has no reason to silence those already silenced by the roaring voices of 15m voters in the last 2 general elections”.

The Minister instead described the opposition as ‘bad losers’, “who want to silence the voices of those 15 million citizens and government has a responsibility to prevent that”.

While Peter Ijai, reacted thus: “The spirit of Gani Fayemi has left you sir. 15m as against over 200m Nigerians. What the world needs now is love. Let us do the right thing please”, Sekoni tweeted, “Where is that bright SAN wayback. The one that never won a case. Oops, there was never one” and Chris Kulo queried, “Is this part of your job description?”

Fresh Angle International can report that they were also scathing reactions from Dr. Learned Omo Onile, Cliff Dike, Frank White and Ejike Anichebe, among other twitter users.

Keyamo tweeted inter-alia: “There are butterflies amongst us who think they’re birds. They shouted themselves hoarse against us during elections, yet the voters didn’t listen and nobody ‘silenced’ them. Is it after their ‘threat’ during elections is over that anyone would be interested in silencing them?

This President has no reason to silence those already silenced by the roaring voices of 15m voters in the last 2 general elections. These tiny bad losers are rather the ones who want to silence the voices of those 15 million citizens and government has a responsibility to prevent that.

“The comedians among these butterflies are those who drag in the name of government into their private predicaments to whip up public sympathy. How would government turn the public against someone who didn’t have the public behind him in the first place? What is there to turn against him?”
