The ancient town of Agbor stood still as youths from Delta North trooped out in large numbers to honour Dr. Hilary Ibegbulem on his birthday and pledge loyalty to the All Progressives Congress.
Coming under the aegis of De Frontiers Dynamic, the rally took off from Government Field and moved through the Lagos-Asaba Road to Owa Model Secondary School, Owa Ekei Road.
Eyewitnesses said over 250 coastal buses brought in youths and women from across Delta North, as the carnival-like procession lasted for more than half an hour.
At Owa Model Secondary School, over 35 support groups loyal to Ibegbulem were already on ground to join De Frontiers Dynamic in celebrating the man described as a philanthropist and grassroots mobilizer.
The birthday rally attracted APC chieftains, stakeholders and party supporters across Delta North.
Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, former governor and APC senatorial candidate for Delta North, who spoke at the event, thanked the people for standing with APC.
He also celebrated Dr. Ibegbulem, describing him as a worthy son of Anioma.
Okowa called on party members to double their efforts to deliver APC candidates in 2027.
Speaking earlier, Mr. Tony Ujor, President of De Frontiers Dynamic, said the event was to celebrate Ibegbulem and mobilize grassroots support for APC.
Chairmen of Ika North East and Ika South, Hon. Monday Odigwe and Hon. Jerry Ehiwarior, hailed the massive turnout, saying it shows APC's strength in Delta North.
The cutting of a lion-themed cake, symbolizing courage and strength linked to Ibegbulem, was the highpoint of the event.
