The Inspector General of Police, Delta State Commissioner of Police and one Sgt. Jero Dauda, allegedly responsible for the gruesome murder of Mr. Omayone Dottie on December 18, 2016 at Ifiekporo/Ijala in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, have been slammed with a N500 million suit, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.
The case which was instituted by Pastor Samuel Dottie and Mrs. Amajuma Dottie on behalf of the Dottie family of Warri in suit No. W/203/2017 is holding at the High Court 2, Warri.
Fresh Angle International gathered that the next hearing of the N500 million damage suit comes up Tuesday June 27, 2017 after the matter came up last May 2 when the claimants’ Attorney, Morgan Jibromah Esq. moved the motion for leave to serve the IGP.
It was also learned that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC have been given the statutory one month notice, even as indications are rife that the NNPC and its subsidiaries, WRPC as well as PPMC will be joined in the multi million naira suit.
Late Omayone Dottie was reportedly shot by a trigger happy Policeman attached to the WRPC pipeline at Ifiekporo/Ijala on December 18, 2016 for reason unknown as at the time of this report and no concrete step have been taken to compensate his family.
