The Muslim Public Affairs Centre, MPAC has concluded plans to hold the 5th edition of its national convention with the theme: Public Trust and Accountability.
The two-day event slated for December 16 & 17, 2017 from 9am daily at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos under the Chairmanship of His Eminence, Sultan Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar III, Sultan of Sokoto and President General of NSCIA, will feature erudite speakers and panelists who will dissect and drill down on the theme of the convention from different perspectives.
Confirmed speakers and panelists include: Dr. Muiz Banire (SAN), National Legal Adviser, All Progressives Congress; Dr Fatima Hendricks, Madina Institute, South Africa; Hon. Dr. Abdulhakeem Abdulateef, Honourable Commissioner for Home Affairs, Lagos State: Hajia Maryam Lemu, New Horizon College, Minna; Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Razzaq Alaro, Associate Professor of Islamic Law, University of Ilorin, Nigeria/Head of Research, Studies and Translation, Union of African Scholars, Bamako, Mali; Barrister (Alhaji) Nurudeen Asunogie, University of Benin/Public Affairs Analyst; Mrs. Josephine Obiajulu Okei-Odumakin, President, Women Arise for Change Initiative, Barrister Adetokunbo Mumuni, Executive Director of SERAP, and Mr. Debo Adeniran, Executive Chairman, Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership (CACOL).
Also expected at the convention as invited guest speakers are: Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, Lawyer and Human Rights Activist; Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, Academic and Former Chairman of INEC and Mr. Ibrahim Magu, Acting Chairman of EFCC.
The Keynote Speaker is Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar, JAMB and Secretary-General of NSCIA.
The Executive Chairman, MPAC, Disu Kamor in a pre-event press release stated:

He said MPAC made a careful selection of this year's theme in consonance with the collective aspiration of most Nigerians for the much awaited change to start with each of us in order to become a reality and internalized by all Nigerians.
