The number of inmates in Warri Prison has dropped to 1, 434 as a result of the new administrative criminal justice system, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

This much was revealed Thursday April 19 by the Deputy Controller of Prisons in charge of Nigeria Prisons Service, Warri, Airiohuodion O. Solo, when he received the executive of Warri South Local Government Council led by the Chairman, Hon. Michael Tidi.

While noting that the unusual tight security which occasioned the restriction of movement along the Okere Road by Warri Prison at night is as a result of the activities of terrorists, Mr. Airiohuodion expressed joy that God has restored peace in the prison premises even though the worst inmates in Delta State are in Warri Prison.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Michael Tidi in his remark, appealed to the prison authorities to address the issue of blockage of Okere Road by Warri Prison at night, because of the adverse effect it has on the socio-economic life of Warri, saying those who usually do business at nights in the area suffer the consequences.
