The United States Consulate- General to Nigeria, John Bray has described the Niger Delta region of Nigeria as a treasure that needs to be showcased to the outside world, because of the great potentials that abound in it.

The US Consulate- General made the declaration through her political Adviser, Maria Davydenko during a courtesy visit to Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ at Ugolo- Okpe, Delta State.

She commended CEPEJ for its effective peace and advocacy drive in resolving issues among the various International Oil Companies (IOCs) and host communities in the Niger Delta, just as she praised the facility in CEPEJ.

In his remark, the National Coordinator Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Mulade told Maria Davydenko that CEPEJ was fully committed to resolving issues through round table discussing which according to him is key to peace building among the people.

Comrade Mulade explained that the dream of Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice is to make Africa a centre for relaxation so that people can come and do business without rancor.

He pointed out that the Africa Heritage Academy International will serve as an Institute to impact peace and environmental knowledge to the people when it becomes fully operational.
