2019: Pro Reyenieju posters emerge in Warri amid SDP speculation
Hon. Daniel Reyenieju

Amid increasing speculations that the incumbent Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Daniel Oritsegbubemi Reyenieju will seek re-election for the position in 2019 under the platform of Social Democratic Party, SDP, posters bearing the title, “20 Reasons Rt. Hon. Reyenieju Daniel O. should be given the masses mandate to contest in 2019 general elections”, have emerged in some parts of Warri, Delta State.

The posters which is courtesy of a certain “Warri Progressives Initiatives”, were sighted Tuesday November 13 around the Ugbuwangue and Ekurede-Itsekiri axis of the NPA Expressway, Warri and have the popular slogan of Hon. Reyenieju, christened “……Still the Better Way Forward”.

Fresh Angle International checks revealed that while Warri Progressives  Initiatives outlined the 20 reasons, which centred mostly on Hon. Reyenieju’s personal and career attributes, especially as a community/youth leader, the group didn’t mention the lawmaker’s achievements to the constituency in terms of bills initiated that became law.

It would be recalled that Hon. Daniel Reyenieju came 4th at the PDP primary for Warri Federal Constituency held at Warri City Stadium and rumours were rife that the name of the winner, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi would be substituted, until INEC confirmed Chief Thomas Ereyitomi as PDP candidate for the constituency ahead of the 2019 polls.

Should Reyenieju eventually contest the position on the platform of SDP or any other political party, it won’t be the first time a PDP member in Warri will vie for an election on the umbrella of another political party.

The member representing Warri South Constituency 1 in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Mrs.) Shola Daibo contested the 2017 bye-election of the constituency on Accord Party platform.
