Rape: Why women can't speak up-Nollywood Actress

Ageless Nollywood beauty, Stella Damasus, says the reason women who suffered rape can't speak up is because of the mentality of our people and society.

The comment of Stella Damasus came on the heels of the controversy trailing the rape allegation, Busola Dakolo, wife of Nigeria's famous gospel soul singer, Timi Dakolo leveled against Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Damasus in her reaction Saturday June 29, tweeted, "sometimes the truth is right in front of us. We just choose not to see it. It's not about this one person, it's about all the women who have suffered for years and can't speak up,because of the mentality of our people and society. You can see the problem playing out".

While many have believed the allegation of Dakolo's wife, some members of Pastor Fatoyinbo's church have accused her of lying in their reactionary tweets, calling her morality to question and even alleging that her first child for Timi Dakolo was out of wedlock and she even purportedly took in for the singer for the second baby as member of the church choir, before they were both joined together in holy matrimony.
