LG Governance : Tidi admits dual - challenge amid fresh award

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, Dr. Michael E. Tidi, has admitted the dual - challenge of paucity of fund and complexities associated with administering a cosmopolitan local government like Warri South, insisting however that his administration has been able to surmount the challenges.

Dr. Tidi made the declaration Saturday November 2 at Asaba, shortly after receiving " Go - Getter Chairman of the year, 2019" award, conferred on him by the Delta State Chapter of University of Port - Harcourt Alumni Association.

 

The Warri South Local Government Chief Executive, who was accompanied by his Vice, Chief Divine Iniovosa, Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye and other close associates, explained that his administration through needs' assessment and " setting the priorities right", had been able to execute people - driven infrastructural and socio - economic development projects, despite the identified challenges.

He averred that the award bestowed on him by UNIPORT alumni, like others earlier received, will serve as incentive for his administration to do more for people of Warri South Local Government Area.

 

According to him, it is the environmental sanitation strive of his executive, that the Warri / Uvwie and Environs Development Agency as well as other sister - agencies, are strategizing to improve upon.

President of University of Port - Harcourt Alumni Association, Delta State Chapter, Hon. Akpibere Odafe, in his address, promised that the alumni will synergize with the different tiers of government, so as to propagate, formulate and implement coherent as well as people - oriented policies.
