According to him, those who are living witnesses of civil war, religious riots, civil unrest and the various peace keeping operations, will attest to the fact that war situations are evil wind that haven’t done any society good, rather leaves scar of wanton destructions, human waste, increased widowhood, orphans as well as period of untold hardship.

The Chairman, Warri South Area Council of the Nigerian Legion of Ex-Service Men/Women, Commandant, R. E. Odudu, in his address, noted that launching the emblem was one substantial way of contributing towards widows of the fallen heroes as well as the disabled and aged war veterans in Warri South Local Government Area.

Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Warri South Chapter, Dr. Triumph Etaoghene, in an exhortation taken from Romans 13 verses one through seven, dwelled on the need for everyone to embrace and preach peace at all times, saying that has been the hallmark of the Dr. Michael Tidi led administration in Warri South.
