Service to Humanity: Inner Wheel Club honours two Delta Council Chairmen

The National Governing Body of Inner Wheel Clubs in Nigeria, on Saturday February 8, bestowed prestigious award on Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi and Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area, Hon. Taiye Duke Tuoyo, “for their invaluable support and service to humanity".

Our Senior Correspondent reports that Prof. Lady Bakky Ngozi Adirika, Comrade Lucky Okitie Edun, Evangelist Efeturi Okene, Rotarian Felix Adeoye-Are (JP) Chief Robert Warri Ejifoma, Mrs. Emily Ovwere and Chief Nnamdi Emechebe, were among other distinguished personalities that received the award.

In a brief lecture, Prof. Bakky Ngozi Adirika, stated that the Inner Wheel Club is the largest women organization in the world, hence the Club has representative at the United Nations.

She noted that Inner Wheel Club was established in 1924, adding that the Club will in a few years to come, celebrate 100 years of service to humanity.

National Representative/President 2019/2020, Adeyemi Adeyemi, who described the 33^rd Annual National Conference/ Rally, which held in Warri as historic, appreciated the awardees for their service and donations toward the support of humanity and challenged them to do more.

High points of the event were cutting of the conference cake as well as cutting of celebration cake, for those who celebrate their birthday in February.
