Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has barred non - staff of Warri South Local Government Council from the council secretariat , during the branch election of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, slated for Monday March 2.
The Warri South Local Government Chief Security Officer, who handed down the ban during a security meeting held at the Warri South Council Secretariat yesterday, advised those vying for various elective positions in the union election to go about their campaigns and other electoral activities peacefully.
Dr. Tidi, stressed that staffers in the council should see themselves as one irrespective of their difference in opinion as it relates to the NULGE election, saying the task of providing good governance to people of Warri South Local Government Area, is the responsibility of both management and staff of the council.
He advised the contestants to ensure their campaigns are issue based.
