Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has felicitated with people of Warri South and other Nigerians on the occasion of tomorrow Easter celebration, saying the challenge of combating the Coronavirus pandemic has given mankind more reasons to reflect deeply on the need to lay solid foundation for a greater tomorrow.

While recounting that the crucification and resurrection of Jesus Christ formed strong pillars of Christian faith, Dr. Tidi, enjoined Nigerians to emulate the huge sacrifice Jesus Christ made for mankind, by laying down his life for our salvation, adding that the quest to build a truly developed nation requires the genuine sacrifice of both those in leadership positions and the governed.

He reiterated his call on people of Warri South Local Government Area, to maintain personal hygiene, adhere to the advisory on social distancing, continually wash their hands with soap and water or apply hand sanitizers, avoid self medication and report suspected cases of COVID - 19 to the designated toll - free numbers or the nearest government recognized health facility (ies), insisting the task of eliminating Coronavirus within the shortest possible time, is the responsibility of everyone.

The Warri South Local Government Boss, used the occasion to appeal to those who are endowed with the needed resources to assist others who are less privileged in this period of lockdown, noting that it is a show of love which Jesus Christ represents.
